Aprašymas
Track Debug is a WordPress MCP server for AI site control. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or another AI client with a compatible MCP connection to your WordPress website and give it structured tools for reading site information and managing content.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. Track Debug connects WordPress abilities to this protocol, so your assistant can work with actual site data through authenticated tool calls. Instead of manually copying page content between WordPress and an AI chat, you can ask the connected assistant to find a page, read its saved content, prepare an update, and save it using your WordPress permissions.
The free plugin provides the MCP connection, an admin dashboard, and core content tools. An optional Power Mode add-on extends that connection with plugin integrations and advanced WordPress management abilities.
WordPress MCP server features
- Connect AI assistants to WordPress: expose supported WordPress abilities through an MCP endpoint.
- Read site information: retrieve the site name, URL, WordPress version, PHP version, active theme, and available tools.
- Find posts and pages: search content by text, post type, and status, with paginated results.
- Read saved content: retrieve a post or page by ID, including its title, content, status, and editor information.
- Create content: create a WordPress post or page, with draft status as the default.
- Update existing content: change supported titles, content, and statuses after checking the current user’s permissions.
- Batch supported calls: combine up to 10 supported operations in one request to reduce repeated calls.
- Manage connection credentials: create, view, and revoke WordPress application passwords from the dashboard.
- Copy connection settings: use the generated configuration or setup prompt for your chosen AI client.
Each tool describes its inputs with a structured schema. WordPress capability checks apply when tools run. Publishing content requires publishing permissions, and reading or updating an existing page requires access to that page.
Use natural-language requests with real WordPress tools
After connecting your AI client, try requests such as:
- „Find my About page and show me its current content.”
- „Create a draft blog post with this title and text.”
- „Update the introduction on this WordPress page.”
- „List published pages matching this search term.”
- „Show the tools available on this website.”
Your AI client interprets the request and selects the available MCP tools. The result depends on the client’s tool support, your instructions, your permissions, and the site’s installed plugins. Review proposed changes according to the workflow provided by your AI client.
Power Mode add-on: manage your WordPress site with AI
Extend your MCP connection with the optional add-on and Power Mode to handle more everyday website tasks from your AI assistant. Ask it to review supported SEO settings, update a simple WooCommerce product, edit an existing Elementor widget, check connected Google reports, or request a cache refresh.
The add-on brings supported plugin tools into the same WordPress MCP connection. Your assistant can discover the available abilities and use them in response to clear, natural-language instructions, helping you manage more of your site from one conversation.
These additional abilities require the separately installed add-on, an eligible add-on license, enabled Power Mode, and administrator access. The relevant WordPress plugin must be active, and individual tools also check the required content or plugin permissions.
Five featured plugin integrations with the add-on
1. Elementor Website Builder
Read Elementor documents, inspect their element structure, find widgets, and discover supported widget controls. Update settings on existing Elementor elements through Elementor’s native document save workflow. The integration uses a document version check to detect stale updates and refreshes Elementor’s generated CSS/cache after a save.
Useful requests include finding a heading widget or updating a supported button label. This integration targets existing elements; creating, deleting, or rearranging elements is outside its current tools.
2. WooCommerce
Search products by name or SKU, inspect product details, and create or update simple products using WooCommerce’s native product APIs. Supported changes include product names, descriptions, prices, SKU, status, and supported stock settings. Read order summaries and line items through WooCommerce order APIs.
Useful requests include creating a draft simple product, checking inventory, or changing a regular price. Product editing currently targets simple products; order tools provide read access rather than order editing.
3. Yoast SEO
Read and update supported per-post SEO settings, including SEO titles, meta descriptions, focus keyphrases, canonical URLs, indexing and follow settings, cornerstone content, and supported social titles and descriptions. Writes use Yoast’s native metadata handling and check the saved version before changing it.
Useful requests include reviewing a page’s SEO metadata or updating its search snippet fields. Stored analysis scores are existing plugin data and are not a fresh SEO analysis performed by the MCP tool.
4. Rank Math SEO
Read and update supported per-post SEO titles, descriptions, focus keywords, canonical URLs, robots directives, pillar content, and supported Facebook/Twitter titles and descriptions. Updates use Rank Math’s native metadata endpoint with validation and saved-value verification.
Useful requests include changing a page’s meta description or reviewing its robots settings. If both Yoast SEO and Rank Math SEO are active, specify which plugin’s metadata should be changed.
5. Site Kit by Google
Read Site Kit setup and module connection status. Request supported Search Console or Google Analytics 4 reports through Site Kit’s native permission-checked routes when the required Google services are connected.
Supported report requests include Search Console clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position, or selected Analytics user, session and page-view metrics. Google account setup, service connection, and the current user’s permissions are required. These tools read status and reports; they do not connect Google accounts or change Google service settings.
Elementor add-on widgets: easier design updates with AI
Use the Power Mode add-on’s Elementor integration to discover installed widgets and inspect their available controls. This workflow can also work with third-party widgets registered through Elementor’s widget and control APIs, including widgets supplied by:
- Essential Addons for Elementor – Popular Elementor Templates & Widgets
- Premium Addons for Elementor – AI-Ready Elementor Addons, Widgets & Templates
- Royal Addons for Elementor – Addons and Templates Kit for Elementor
- Ultimate Addons for Elementor – Widgets, Templates, WooCommerce & Header Footer Builder
Ask your assistant to find an existing widget, read its current settings, and update supported design controls. Depending on the widget, these may include text, button labels, colors, typography, spacing, or other exposed settings. For example: „Find the existing heading widget on my landing page and update its text and supported color control.”
Elementor and the relevant widget add-on must be active. The assistant should inspect the actual widget controls before making changes. These add-ons use the general Elementor workflow rather than dedicated integrations, and each listed add-on has not been individually live-tested. Template imports, new layouts, widget creation, and separate header/footer builder workflows are outside the current Elementor tools.
Contact form add-ons
Ultra Addons for Contact Form 7 can be part of the same WordPress website. It extends Contact Form 7 rather than Elementor’s widget system. Its own form settings and design features are outside the current Elementor integration; there is no dedicated Contact Form 7 or Ultra Addons editing tool. If a form is displayed through an Elementor widget, only that widget’s exposed, supported settings can use the Elementor workflow.
Additional cache plugin integrations
LiteSpeed Cache
Read cache integration status and request cache purges for the whole site, a post, or a same-site URL through LiteSpeed Cache’s native hooks. Actual server caching depends on the site’s hosting environment and LiteSpeed configuration.
WP Fastest Cache
Read cache integration status and request supported whole-site, post, or same-site URL purges using WP Fastest Cache’s native functions. Whole-site purges can optionally include generated minified files.
Cache purge responses indicate that a purge was requested. They do not independently verify eviction at every server, browser, or connected CDN.
Compatibility with supported WordPress plugins
The Power Mode add-on includes dedicated integrations for Elementor Website Builder, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, Rank Math SEO, Site Kit by Google, LiteSpeed Cache, and WP Fastest Cache.
Compatibility here means the specific tools described above work with the corresponding plugin’s supported APIs. It does not mean every setting, premium extension, third-party add-on, or future plugin version has been tested. Features depend on the installed plugin version, configuration, user access, and any connected service.
Elementor, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, Rank Math SEO, and WP Fastest Cache workflows have been exercised on a local WordPress installation. LiteSpeed purge dispatch has been checked locally; full server-cache behavior requires a suitable host. Site Kit status and disconnected-service handling have been checked locally; live Google report retrieval requires connected Google services.
Track Debug is an independent plugin and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these plugin providers.
More WordPress management with Power Mode
The add-on also offers supported tools for inspecting installed plugins, reading and updating WordPress options, managing plugins, themes and users, and performing maintenance tasks. These abilities help a connected assistant understand your website and carry out the administrative actions you request.
Available actions depend on your permissions, site configuration, and installed plugins. Use clear requests and review the assistant’s proposed changes before it performs important site updates.
Connection dashboard
Open Track Debug in your WordPress admin area to manage the MCP connection:
- Application Passwords: create credentials and revoke connections you no longer need.
- Connection: copy an AI client configuration or setup prompt.
- Overview: view the site’s MCP endpoint and environment information.
- Light and dark appearance: use the dashboard with your preferred display mode.
The site’s MCP endpoint is /wp-json/track-debug/mcp. The dashboard shows the complete URL for your installation.
The generated desktop configuration uses the client-side @automattic/mcp-wordpress-remote proxy. It runs on your computer and forwards authenticated requests to WordPress. Your AI client’s runtime and MCP configuration requirements still apply.
Authentication and data access
Connections use WordPress application passwords. Tools run with the permissions of the authenticated WordPress user, and passwords can be revoked from the dashboard.
Information returned by tools is available to the AI client you connect. That client’s processing and data policies apply. Optional add-on services, including Google reports, depend on their own service connections. The free MCP connection does not require an add-on license.

DUK
-
Is Track Debug a WordPress MCP server?
-
Yes. It exposes supported WordPress abilities as MCP tools at your site’s Track Debug endpoint, allowing compatible AI clients to read site data and perform authorized operations.
-
What is included in the free plugin?
-
The free plugin includes connection setup, application password management, site information, post/page listing and reading, post/page creation and updates, and supported batch requests. An administrator-only diagnostic log reading tool is also available over MCP.
-
Are Elementor, WooCommerce and SEO integrations free?
-
The dedicated integrations listed in this readme require the separate Power Mode add-on. The free plugin supplies the underlying MCP connection and core content tools.
-
Can I edit an Elementor page with the standard content tool?
-
Use the add-on Elementor tools to change Elementor element settings. The standard content tool prevents replacing Elementor document content through a normal WordPress content update. Supported title or status changes can still use the content tool.
-
Will every AI command automatically work?
-
The assistant needs to select an available tool and provide valid inputs. Some requests need clarification, permissions, a plugin integration, or a connected external service. Tool responses report results or errors so the assistant can decide what to do next.
-
Does this plugin improve search rankings automatically?
-
Track Debug provides MCP tools for content and supported SEO metadata workflows. Search rankings depend on content quality, indexing, competition, and other factors. Installing Track Debug or changing metadata does not guarantee a ranking improvement.
-
Can Power Mode help manage installed WordPress plugins?
-
Yes. With the add-on installed and Power Mode enabled, a connected assistant can inspect installed plugins and use the available management or integration tools. Some tasks require a specific plugin API, additional credentials, or a workflow that is outside the current tools.
-
The required Site Kit module must be active, connected to the appropriate Google service, and accessible to the authenticated user. Complete setup in Site Kit before requesting reports.
-
Can I disconnect an AI assistant?
-
Yes. Revoke its WordPress application password. Use separate passwords for connections you want to manage independently.
-
Do I need a paid AI account?
-
Track Debug does not supply an AI model or AI subscription. Your chosen client’s account, pricing, tool support, and connection requirements apply.
-
How do I connect WordPress to an AI assistant using MCP?
-
Activate Track Debug, open its connection dashboard, create a WordPress application password, and add the generated configuration to your MCP-compatible AI client. Once connected, ask the assistant to read site information to verify the connection.
-
Can I use Claude or Codex to manage WordPress content?
-
Yes, when your Claude or Codex client supports the required MCP connection. Track Debug provides tools for finding, reading, creating and updating WordPress posts and pages with your user’s permissions.
-
Can AI create WordPress blog posts and landing page drafts?
-
The core content tools can create draft posts and pages with the title and content you provide. Ask the assistant to prepare the copy and save a draft, then review it in WordPress before publishing. Elementor layout changes use the separate add-on’s supported Elementor tools.
-
How can I update WordPress SEO titles and meta descriptions with AI?
-
With the add-on and Power Mode enabled, use the supported Yoast SEO or Rank Math SEO integration to read a page’s existing metadata and update its SEO title or meta description. Name the SEO plugin in your request if both are active.
-
Does Track Debug support WooCommerce product management through MCP?
-
The add-on includes WooCommerce tools to search products, read product details, create or update simple products, and read order summaries. Ask the assistant to find the product and check its current values before changing supported prices or stock settings.
-
Can an AI assistant update Elementor widget text?
-
The add-on can inspect Elementor documents and update supported settings on existing elements. For example, an assistant can locate a heading widget, read its settings, and update its heading text through the Elementor integration.
-
Can I read Google Search Console and Analytics data from WordPress with AI?
-
The Site Kit by Google add-on integration provides supported Search Console and Google Analytics 4 reports through your WordPress MCP connection. Site Kit must already be connected to the required Google services, and your user must have access to the reports.
-
Can AI clear LiteSpeed Cache or WP Fastest Cache after a content update?
-
With the relevant add-on integration available, the assistant can request a supported cache purge for the site, a post, or a same-site URL. Actual cache behavior depends on the active cache plugin, server configuration, and any connected CDN.
-
What is the difference between core MCP tools and Power Mode?
-
Core tools handle the MCP connection and supported WordPress content workflows. Power Mode enables additional administrative and plugin integration abilities supplied by the separate add-on, subject to its license and permission requirements.
-
Can I use WordPress MCP tools without sharing my main password?
-
Yes. The connection uses a WordPress application password rather than your normal login password. Create a separate application password for each connection and revoke it when that connection is no longer needed.
-
The Elementor integration discovers registered widgets and their controls, including third-party widgets that use Elementor’s APIs. With the required add-on and Power Mode enabled, an assistant can inspect an existing element and update its supported settings. Availability depends on the specific widget and installed version; these four add-ons have not each been individually live-tested.
-
Can I change an Elementor website design using natural-language requests?
-
You can ask a connected AI assistant to inspect existing elements and change exposed design controls, such as supported colors, text, typography or spacing. The integration updates saved elements; it does not generate a complete new layout or import an add-on’s template kit.
-
Does the Elementor integration edit Ultra Addons for Contact Form 7 forms?
-
No dedicated form editing integration is currently included. Ultra Addons for Contact Form 7 belongs to the Contact Form 7 ecosystem. Editing an Elementor widget that displays a form does not edit the underlying form configuration.
