Its floating button starts collapsed. Visitors open it to accept all, reject optional categories or save individual choices; the preferences open beside the button without blocking the page. Closing the preferences does not give consent.

Optional scripts configured through FGX Ad do not load until the visitor authorizes their category.

Preferences are stored in the visitor's localStorage for up to 180 days for the current configuration revision.

Changing the privacy policy URL or tracking IDs invalidates previous preferences. Presentation-only changes do not.

Revoking previously enabled trackers reloads the page to stop scripts already loaded by this plugin.

The widget supports Portuguese, English and Spanish, keyboard navigation and reduced motion.

The widget is not shown on login, admin or account pages (for example /wp-admin, /wp-login.php, /login, /admin, /painel, /account and /minha-conta); a choice saved earlier still applies there.

The public credit link is disabled by default and requires separate administrator consent.

The widget bundles the DM Sans font (assets/fonts), licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, served from the plugin folder. No external font service is used.

The plugin only manages the GA4 and Meta Pixel IDs configured in its settings. It does not automatically block scripts installed through other plugins, themes, tag managers or embedded services. It is not a cookie scanner, centralized consent audit service or a certified CMP. It does not guarantee compliance with any legislation. Review your site's privacy policy and all third-party integrations independently.

No FGX account, license key or hosting subscription is required for the cookie preference widget. An administrator may optionally connect a site to FGX Workspace with a per-site key. The connection is disabled until an administrator provides that key.

External services

FGX Workspace — optional installation status

When an administrator explicitly connects the plugin, it sends the site's domain, plugin version, enabled state and configuration version to https://app.fgxweb.com/api/fgxad/heartbeat once per day and when the administrator requests a manual synchronization. This information is used only to display the exact number and status of connected FGX Ad installations in the organization's Workspace. It does not send visitor identities, page URLs, cookie choices, analytics events or configured tracking IDs. Disconnecting in Settings > FGX Ad removes the local key and stops future requests.
Service information: https://fgxweb.com/porque-fgx-ad
Privacy policy: https://fgxweb.com/politica-de-privacidade

Google Analytics

If a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID is configured and the visitor permits analytics, the plugin loads https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js and initializes GA4. Google may receive the measurement ID, page URL, IP address and browser/device information. No Analytics script is loaded by this plugin before permission.
Terms: https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/
Privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Meta Pixel

If a Meta Pixel ID is configured and the visitor permits marketing, the plugin loads https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js and sends a PageView event. Meta may receive the Pixel ID, page URL, IP address and browser/device information. No Pixel script is loaded by this plugin before permission.
Terms: https://www.facebook.com/legal/technology_terms
Privacy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

No external service is required when both tracking IDs are empty and the optional Workspace connection is disabled. Any trackers added outside FGX Ad are outside its control.

Upload and activate the plugin using the WordPress Plugins screen.

Open Settings > FGX Ad.

Enter the site's HTTPS privacy policy URL. Bare domains are prefixed with HTTPS.

Optionally enter GA4 or Meta Pixel IDs after reviewing duplicate integrations.

Choose widget language and position, enable cookie preferences and save.

Optionally select the separate public-credit checkbox if you want the FGX Ad credit and links to appear. They remain hidden when this option is not selected.

Optionally paste a per-site key generated by FGX Workspace to include this site in the organization's exact installation count.

Clear page caches and test first visit, rejection, acceptance and revocation in a private browser session.

Is it free?

Yes. Single-language sites are unchanged.

2.3.4

The notice is always closed by default (only the icon shows); it is not shown on login, admin and account pages; no duplicate tooltip on the icon; full font license included.

2.3.3

The stylesheet no longer blocks the page's first paint: the widget loads it and appears once it is ready. Darker gray for the second half of the titles and the category descriptions (WCAG AA contrast) and 24px tap areas for the policy, Customize and credit links.

2.3.2

Smaller floating icon that stays muted until hover or focus. Preferences now open right beside the icon without blocking the page, close with Esc or a click outside, and the first-visit notice returns if no choice was saved.

2.3.1

Scripts added after consent (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) receive the Content Security Policy nonce of the widget script when the site sets one. No design or settings change.

2.3.0

New notice design: a compact first-visit card that does not block the page, a preferences dialog with switches per category and a floating button that reopens it. Bundles the DM Sans font under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Settings, Workspace keys and visitor choices are preserved.

2.2.7

Keeps every public FGX Ad credit and link hidden by default, including on existing installations that never made this choice. Administrators may opt in with a separate settings checkbox. Also keeps authenticated synchronization safeguards introduced in 2.2.6.

2.2.6

Validates the authenticated Workspace JSON response before confirming a synchronization, so generic proxy, CDN or firewall responses cannot create a false connected status.

2.2.5

Restores the daily synchronization schedule after an update, retries connected sites automatically and shows the last connection result for diagnosis.

2.2.4

Adds an explicit, optional authenticated connection to FGX Workspace so administrators can count connected installations exactly. No visitor or consent data is transmitted.

2.2.1

Uses the supplied FGX favicon in the floating button, keeps the button subtle until hover and shows the FGX Ad brand link to fgxweb.com/porque-fgx-ad in the popup header.

2.2.0

Standalone local edition prepared for directory review. Removed pilot Workspace communication, improved input validation and made presentation-only edits preserve consent.

2.1.2

Subtle idle button, dark hover and keyboard focus, transitions and reduced-motion support.

2.1.1

Smaller 40px button with a centered white X on black.

2.1.0

Collapsed startup, toggle switches and optional public credit.

2.0.0

Initial private pilot.

Cookie preferences with optional Google Analytics and Meta Pixel consent.
