## Aprašymas

U2L AI is a modern link management platform for branded short links, QR codes, click
analytics, and custom domains. This plugin brings it into your WordPress editor:

 * **Short link meta box** — generate a branded short link for any post or page 
   with one click; it’s stored with the post and shown in the editor sidebar.
 * **Auto-shorten on publish** — optionally create the short link automatically 
   the first time a post or page is published.
 * **Custom domains** — use automatic domain placement, or pin the plugin to one
   of the domains connected to your U2L AI account.

You need a U2L AI account (free plan works) and an API key from your dashboard.

### External services

This plugin talks to the U2L AI API (https://u2l.ai/api/v1) to create short links
and validate your API key. The post’s public permalink and title are sent when you

## Diegimas

 1. Install and activate the plugin.
 2. Create an API key in your [U2L AI dashboard](https://u2l.ai/app/settings) under
    Settings  API Keys.
 3. Go to Settings  U2L AI, paste the key, and save. The page confirms which account
    is connected.
 4. Open any post or page — the „U2L AI Short Link” box appears in the sidebar.

### Do I need a paid U2L AI account?

No. Every plan, including the free plan, has API access. Paid plans add higher limits,
more custom domains, and advanced features.

### Where are the short links stored?

On your U2L AI account (they appear in your dashboard like any other link) and in
the post’s meta (`_u2l_short_link`) so the editor can display it.

### Does the plugin change my permalinks?

No. It only creates an external short link that redirects to your post’s permalink.
