Aprašymas
GlobalDev Maintenance Mode gives site administrators a focused way to temporarily replace the public frontend with a professional maintenance or coming soon page.
Features include:
- Maintenance mode with HTTP 503 and Retry-After headers.
- Coming soon mode with HTTP 200.
- Professional responsive maintenance page.
- Custom logo and background image using the WordPress Media Library.
- Structured color controls with no arbitrary CSS or JavaScript input.
- Optional call-to-action button.
- Optional countdown timer.
- Scheduled start and end times.
- Automatic disable at the configured end time.
- Role-based bypass for logged-in users.
- IP allowlist.
- URL path exclusions.
- Optional secret bypass token.
- Preview mode for administrators.
- Optional noindex/nofollow headers.
- Admin-bar status indicator while the plugin is enabled.
The plugin works locally on your WordPress site and does not require an external account or remote service.
Unlike a simple on/off maintenance screen, the plugin is designed around operational safety: it can return a standards-appropriate HTTP 503 response with Retry-After, automatically close a scheduled maintenance window, and combine role, IP, path, and secret-token bypass rules so administrators and integrations can retain controlled access while the public site is unavailable.
GlobalDev Maintenance Mode is developed and maintained by Globaldev under the WordPress.org account globaldevitus.

Yes. Administrator bypass is enabled by default. You can select additional roles in the Access tab.
-
What is the difference between Maintenance and Coming Soon mode?
-
Maintenance mode sends an HTTP 503 response and Retry-After header, which is appropriate for a temporary service interruption. Coming Soon mode sends HTTP 200 and is intended for sites that are not yet publicly launched.
-
Does the plugin use an external service?
-
No. Version 1.0.2 works entirely inside WordPress.
-
Can I add custom CSS or JavaScript?
-
No. The plugin intentionally uses structured design controls rather than arbitrary code fields.
